Open Water Scuba Diver is a NAUI and SDI entry-level scuba certification course. Learn the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to scuba dive independently...with a buddy of course. Upon successful completion of this program, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training.
Advanced Scuba Diver is a continuing education course for certified divers. It is an enjoyable program of in-depth education experience designed to introduce divers to a variety of diving activities including deep, night and navigation. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to engage in advanced open water diving activities.
Deep Diver. This course is to provide the diver with the knowledge and skills to plan and make deep dives while minimizing risks and avoiding the need for staged decompression. Deep diving is defined as dives made between 60 and 130 feet (18 and 40 m).
Nitrox Diver. This course provides the information necessary to utilize Nitrox as a breathing gas. The course may be taught as a stand-alone specialty course to certified divers or integrated into other NAUI certification courses. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to utilize EANx (up to EAN40) in open water diving activities without direct supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training.
Advanced Rescue Diver. This is a certification course for advanced certified scuba divers who desire to assume greater rescue capabilities during diving activities. The training emphasizes accident supervision and management with practical applications in open water. This course is designed specifically to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to help prevent diving accidents, recognize life threatening diving situations, perform or supervise in-water rescues, manage rescue operations and provide post-rescue aid. Rescue is a prerequisite for leadership certifications.
Night Diver. This course provides scuba divers with the skills and knowledge needed to conduct nighttime diving operations. The nocturnal underwater world is a beautifully transformed environment. This advanced education course is a must for lobster divers!
Wreck Diver. This course is to provide the diver with the skills and knowledge needed to gain experience and minimize risks in wreck diving. Wreck diving (external survey) is defined as diving around a sunken vessel or aircraft with limited penetration.
Divermaster. The NAUI Divemaster rating is the highest NAUI leadership level certification except for instructor. The program is designed to train experienced and knowledgeable divers to become the world’s finest dive leaders. If all other prerequisites are met, a current NAUI Divemaster is qualified to enter a NAUI Instructor Training Course (ITC).
Technical Decompression Procedures. Are you finding your no- decompression limits (NDLs) a limiting factor to dives? Do you have to ascend sooner than you would like? As sport divers, planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45 meters/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. The Decompression Procedures Course combined with the Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.
