Greg Martin

Greg Martin

Greg has been diving since 1969. He has logged over 4000 dives and served as a US Navy EOD Diver. Qualifications include Deep Diver to 100 meters, and is licensed to teach Nitrox, Deep, Navigation and many other specialties. His favorite diving is the Cathedral Shark Dive in Fiji. Greg is a NAUI Course Director, Instructor Trainer, First Aid Instructor and also  a SDI Instructor.

Jessica Mereno

Jessica Mereno

Jessica has been diving since 2014 and completed her Instructor in 2022. Her love of the Ocean developed when she was a child living in Cayman Island. On her vacation to Belize, she decided to become one with the ocean. She enjoys traveling the world to experience and explore new underwater life. Each trip brings an onset of new experiences and amazing dive memories. Jessica has several favorite dives including, the USS Kittiwake in Cayman Island, the Manta Dive in Hawaii, and a deep sea drift dive in Rangiroa located in French Polynesia.

Erik Mereno

Erik Mereno

Erik has had a passion for the ocean all his life. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1992 through 1998. He began his dive career in 2012 and is now an Instructor. Erik’s favorite dive is the Manta Ray Dive in Kona, Hawaii. He hopes someday to dive the wrecks in Chuuk Lagoon, Micronesia.

Chris Clark

Chris Clark

Chris did a “Try Scuba” class on Great Keppel Island, Australia in 1995 and absolutely loved it. He obtained his open water certification in 2006 and Instructor certification in 2021. Chris enjoys diving all over the world! Some of his favorites are Thailand, Guam, Aruba, Grand Cayman, as well as diving around the USA. Chris is passionate about hunting and gathering, wreck diving, and technical diving. Chris’s favorite place to dive is Morehead City, North Carolina, the wrecks of the “Graveyard of the Atlantic” and aspires to lead a trip of divers there someday.

Raychel Follis

Raychel Follis

Raychel grew up in Huntington Beach, just blocks from the ocean and she developed a deep love for the ocean and it’s inhabitants. It was after a trip to Hawaii in 2016 and snorkeling with Manta Rays that Raychel decided to take the plunge into diving. Since then, she has developed a love for diving around the world. Raychel became an Instructor in 2022 and really enjoys working with students and new divers to share her love of diving. Raychel is president of our dive club and organizes our international dive trips. A few of her favorite dives have been the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, drift diving in Cozumel and Cage diving with White Sharks in Guadalupe Island, Baja California.

Mitch Henyan

Mitch Henyan

Mitch discovered scuba diving in high school while attending Space Camp in their underwater astronaut trainer.  Since then he has accrued multiple certifications with specialties in navigation, deep diving, limited visibility, drysuit diving, rescue diver, divemaster, and now instructor.  While working globally, Mitch has had the opportunity to visit and dive some interesting locals including Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, Philippines, Israel, UAE, Oman, South Africa, Brazil, and Iceland.

Ryan Johnson

Ryan Johnson

Ryan is a combat veteran and served in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne Division and 10th Special Forces Group. He began diving the California Channel Islands for lobsters at the age of 12, and still to this day claims every dive is his “best dive ever!”  Ryan’s love for diving, dedication and commitment to diver-safety through education encouraged him to become our resident Regulator Service Tech and Scuba  Instructor.  Today, Ryan’s aspiration is to continue exploring the wonders of the ocean depths all around the world as much as possible.

Barry Welford

Barry Welford

Barry has been diving since 1994 as a teenager.  As an active duty Army service member stationed in Hawaii he earned his PADI Dive Master certification and moved on to become a Master SCUBA Diver Trainer.  He has since conducted a crossover to SDI/TDI and certified to teach all recreational diving levels and numerous specialty dive programs. After moving back to the mainland he started the path to technical diving. He has since earned an instructor rating for TDI Introduction to Technical Diving, Decompression Procedures, Advanced Nitrox and is certified to conduct decompression dives on both Open Circuit and Closed Circuit Rebreathers. His favorite dive is whatever dive is scheduled next.  

Dennis Lawson

Dennis Lawson

Dennis is a combat veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps 3 rd Battalion 6 th Marines, 2nd Marine Division. He began his love for the ocean early and was inspired by French oceanographer Jacques Cousteau. He was certified as an open-water diver during the summer of 2010 and soon after as a Global Underwater Explorer (GUE)Technical diver, IANTD Technical Cave Diver, and currently an NAUI scuba instructor. “My best dives have been deep inside the caves of Mexico's famous Cenotes. Dennis looks forward to sharing his love for the ocean with new divers looking for a great adventure, personal growth, and development.
